The couse this year was real solid, and for the 1st time they didn’t have us tucked away in the back of the Expo. A couple of weeks ago I ran into Yohei Hayama and Hiro as I was riding home up the wiggle. Yohei came from Japan to SF to bomb hills, and kick it w/ the locals. I’m real glad I met up w/ them when I did and had a chance to cruise around on Yohei’s last day in town. Check out more from his trip HERE
Takuya Sakamoto took this photo of me riding street on our last day night in Puerto Rico. While we were there we rode some of the sickest street spots I’ve ever layed eyes on. Such beautifully rugged architecture that it felt like they were made to be ridden. This huge bank spot is just a taste of the magic hidden deep within Puerto Rico. (Trick : feeble pop up to hop into the bank)
Here’s a couple pictures of my most current Specialized PFIX build. If you look closely you can see a fly on my bike in both shots. For those who are interested, I’m running 30×10, w/ 175mm cranks, 420ac Sadio Booster Light Fork, Sadio Hoops, Specialized Compound Tires, YNOT Straps, & Sadio 420 Bars.
Here’s a couple photos that TerryB took of all the homies hanging out at the Man Up or Shut Up pre party a couple weeks ago. We spent the night listening to music, watching old fixed videos, and drinking heavy thanks to an endless supply of free drink tickets. Mike Schmitt popped off this photo of my doing a little rock climbing (wall tap 180) in Golden Gate just before we discovered that they gutted the dirt jumps hidden deep in the park. With more and more spots being torn out, we’re going to have to take matters into our own hands and start making our own. Time to go buy some quickcrete + shovels, and find a decent location to build.
Here’s a couple screen shots of me riding this ledge we came up on off the freeway in SJ. There’s nothing better than stumbling upon a spot and finding out it’s all buttered up and ready. I’m just about done filming for a new web edit, and just need to wrap it up w/ a few more bangers. Should be done in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for that coming down the pipeline.
Jeff Dempler popped off this photo of me hitting a gap to wallride 180 on these brick banks in San Jose this weekend. This is the 3rd weekend in a row I’ve stayed at his house in downtown SJ. I’ve been focusing on stacking clips for a new web edit now that I’m done filming for Shredwell2. It’ll probably be done in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for some new shit on my vimeo.
