Last Sunday we met up, packed some brews, grabbed the camera, and kicked a loop across the Golden Gate bridge. Big thanks to Bryan Dempler & Ben Vrazo for getting me out of the house and out of the bubble. Check out more photos below.
There are only a handful of people who bridge the gap between track bikes and the common day FGFS build. Andy Sparks & Michael Chacon have been doing so for years. With no real agenda, we met up at the clocktower, rode around down town and put together one day jammer. This video was a true pleasure to piece together and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did filming it.
Normally I wouldn’t upload the social cut, but these two clips of Andy Sparks and Mike Chacon were too good not to. Stay tuned for the full video later tonight.
Andy Sparks & Mike Chacon are two Fixed Gear Freestyle legends. There are only a handful of dudes who never made the switch to 26″ and stayed true to their fixie origins. These two are at the top of that list. So when Mike came to town it only seemed proper that we make a split section between the two of them. Their style is as similar as it is unique. They embody a flavor of riding that FGFS was built on and it is incredibly refreshing to see a retrogression to a more simple time. Trick Track is on the comeback.
Feast your eyes on some of the leftover crust Terry Barentsen cut together before we grabbed a slice and started filming the NYC Pizza video. I’ve been really enjoying this series of day edits Terry has been releasing and am glad we had the chance to film while I was in town last week. Keep your ear to the ground for more of Terry’s work.
FGFS and the trick track bike are on the come back. Mark my words. With the release of the much anticipated FOAD film, “The Good Times Are Killing Me” I figured it proper to share this studio photo of Spencer Siegrist’s V6 Volume Cutter build.
Dollar slice pizza and New York City are like two peas in a pod. That being said, when Terry Barentsen wanted to film a one day jammer during lunch time there was only one concept that came to mind. If you haven’t seen some of the other 4K videos that Terry has been filming, then you’ve been really missing out. Check out a few of them here (Cooper Ray // Jake Ricker // Brian Chu)
Today was a good one. The sun was shinning, Fleet Week was in full effect and the FIXIEBOYZ made their way up to SF to ride bikes for the day. Whenever we get the gang together I try to get a family photo which usually that means setting the timer and running into the shot. In this case there are two sandwiched at the beginning and end of this post. Kameren tried to fight a security guard, but the dude that kicked us out from the huge ONE down town gave everyone one more try before giving us the boot.
