Signed, sealed, delivered. For the SF Premiere of the latest Wheel Talk video “NO REST”, we decided to make a janky ramp and wheel it down to The Island. Everybody caught some air, with a few people sending it straight into next week. Big ups for everyone who came out to have some fun, and shout out to Mission Workshop for letting us get rowdy in their space. The longest jump on a fixed gear was somewhere around 16 ft in case anybody was wondering.
This year’s Red Bull Bay Climb was one of the best yet. Everyone partied hard and had a great time heckling the gassed riders coming up the hill. Gearing was key and it was fun to see who chose what when it came to the fixed gear sprints. “Fasterrr” and “keep going” were two of the fan favorites. Between that and the endless ringing of bells, I’m pretty sure that’s all I heard. We had a great time shooting this and love our Fixie Fam in San Francisco. Until next time y’all. Shout out to James Grady for always being there to host the good times.

Caspar Dennehy brought his GTB build by the studio for some quick flicks before we moved from Portland. He’s a ripping musician and came by a handful of the rides we hosted out there. Even making an appearance in our last Super Bowl video. Anyways, track bikes are the best and this triple triangle setup is no exception. It has a whole illuminati thing going for it. Triangles on top of triangles. We especially like the black on black Wheel Talk sticker lurking on that top tube. We see you. Check out more photos below as well as a complete parts breakdown. Can’t beat the bargain bin.

After I got home, I flipped through the camera and thought to myself… I should have taken way more photos. JBALL, Deacon, Tadashi, Nico & I met up in Santa Monica to ride a couple schools that MTS put us in touch with. I need to start making a map of spots out here because things aren’t as close as we’re used to. LA is a big place and it doesn’t really seem to have an edge until you hit the ocean. It just sprawls out infinitely. It seems like most spots are only accessible via automobile. That’s somewhat of an exaggeration, but you’re definitely going to have to drive to meet up with your friends. That’s what these dudes did. Thanks again for coming over to our neck of the woods to ride before Tadashi flew back home. We’ll have to make it a slumber party next time.

First off I just want to say thanks to anybody who was there to hold a camera or a candle to the flame that was Keo Curry. He’s by and far fixed gear’s most prolific rider, and shaped the landscape of what it means to do tricks on track bikes. It’s important to know where you come from and Keo paved the path we’re standing on. I honor of him we’ll do our best to carry that torch.

San Francisco is best known for one thing, hills. Steep ones. The kind of hills that make you go “please tell me we’re not walking up that”. The kind of hills that give you a nose bleed by the time you get to the top. Those hills.
For the 3rd year in a row we celebrated the Red Bull Bay Climb hosted by Mission Crit & and yours truly, James Grady. Set with an amazing backdrop, this 3 block course runs grades of up to 21% degrees. Enough to make even the spectators tired. @SLAMDUNKERNIE & I were on the scene with our camera in hand ready to capture all the action.

A$AP FERG recently teamed up with REDLINE and came out with his own signature setup. The FERG X RL 275. I just happened to be in New York for the 19th annual Bicycle Film Festival, and cruised over to the launch party with RRDBlocks and the gang. You can peep that video HERE or at the bottom of this post.

I’ve never seen so many rippers in one spot. It’s like everybody had two wheels, but only needed one. Case and point, the image of @jaemilez above / to the right. NYPD shut down the street and let everyone ride the alleyway for a couple hours which was awesome. It was unnerving at first, but after a while it just became funny watching officers film dudes wheeling up and down the block. Shout out to everyone who came out to show out.

Everything is better with friends and Jaoa Danaikrit is one of my closest homies. He’s like a brother to me and basically lived in Portland as long as we did. He’s a genuine force of positivity and an absolute pleasure to be around. We were able to create a handful of videos together while he was here, but this might be our favorite creation yet. I’ll stop talking now, press play, enjoy and as always, shout out to Jeff Osborn for the soundtrack.
