Young Tool is a hometown hero in the Bay Area. If you know of Tool then I’m sure you’ve seen him work the bars and wild out at any given ride out or hang out spot. Jake Lanich, Patrick Curley AKA “Patrick Fixie King” & I met up with him in downtown San Francisco. The streets were wet, the air was warm, and there was hardly a car on the road in the Financial district. We took full advantage of both that and all of the glowing lights from the new bus terminal and convention center. Looking forward to this whole lockdown business to be over with so we can all attempt to get back to life as we used to know it. Times change, but the will to ride lives on.

WHEELIE WEDNESDAY. Who’s going to the next Fixie Goons ride out on Sunday? It’s going to be the first one of the year and it’s going to be a good one. Speaking of firsts, here’s a recap of the first goon ride I ever went to with @slamdunkernie Shout out to @BlocBoiTV for putting this event on month after month and year after year. It’s because of him that we’re able to have this fun.
Here we go again. Tomorrow is yet another FIXIE GOONS ride here in Los Angeles and this one is going to be the biggest event of the Summer. BlocBoi Fame is coming through with $100 for the winner of the Alleycat & a brand new bike (Da Goon by Throne) for the winner of the wheelie comp. Meet up at (3459 McManus Ave Culver City, CA 90232) at 11, rollout at 12:30 and we’ll figure out the rest from there. If you’re reading this and live in the area, then we’ll see you tomorrow. Until then here are a bunch of photos from the Goon Ride back in May.
Young Tool came out and crushed it like always. He’s got the meanest swerves on a FGFS setup, and has a couple extra tricks up his sleeve because of the fixed gear drivetrain. It’s always great seeing the community come together like this and a major shout out to BlocBoi Fame for making all happen. Month after month, year after year, he’s been about the community for forever.
