Scott Horton was our San Jose homie who came from a motocross background. We spent a ton of time sleeping over at his house so we could ride DTSJ and hang out at iMiNUSD. Here’s the “Welcome to Sadio” part we filmed of him back in 2011.
Wheel Talk, Straight Up SJ & Breezy Excursion teamed up to shoot this lookbook for their 2014 Summer Collection. Wheel Talk’s very own Scott Horton was around when we first started the team and now he’s popping wheelies and blowing smoke with his buddies on a much larger scale. Stoked to see him shredding with guys like Roger Regan and the rest of the dudes from Straight up who continue to push not only themselves but the perception of what’s possible on a bike that size. The saying “I just want to do hood-rat shit with my friends” has never rang so true.
Jeff Dempler took this photo of our boy Scott Horton hitting a 1 foot Xup on this mellow dirt double. Scott has been riding his dirt bike a lot lately, but still hops on his Bicycle any chance he gets. Riding dirt is one of my favorite types of terrain. it’s unpredictable, moldable and slightly less forgiving than concrete. Only downfall being once you fall in it, that shit gets all over.
Caught this photo of Scott Horton riding the dirt jumps hidden inside Golden Gate park the last time he stayed w/ me in the city. I remember back when riding dirt jumps on fixed was unheard of. Bike geos have progressed to the point where riding dirt has become a more common part of the sport. People are beginning to explore new options w/ their new and improved off road capabilities. Taking the bike to places nobody has before and pushing the scene in ways nobody ever thought possible.
SADIO BIKES welcomes Scott Horton to the Team, as their newest addition to the International lineup. He’s been putting in work on his PFIX w/ Sadio Components ever since we got them in the mail a few months back. Scott pedals hard into everything he ride, and has some interesting tricks up his sleeve, the hop through the bars to peg ride being one of them. Check out his page on the Sadio site HERE.
