FIXED GEAR LA – SAM ALLGOOD CAME TO TOWN

November 10, 2019

All’s well that ends well. Sam Allgood the “@FIXEDGEARGOD” came to Los Angeles the day before I left for Germany. I was hoping to have more time to hang out and ride with the man, but had to settle with a single afternoon of fun in DTLA. The shirtless photos of Sam were taken the day before he got the word FIXIE blasted across his chest. Click here to see what I’m talking about if you haven’t already seen it for yourself. Now that’s what I call dedication.

Sam has been in the Fixie game for as long as I’ve known about it. Even going as far as to film some of the riders I grew up watching. He always keeps a camera on him and his YOUTUBE CHANNEL makes it feel like you’re hanging out with the man. Check it out when you get a chance and until then there are more photos below.

FIXED GEAR PORTLAND – SEASONS CHANGE PHOTOS

December 2, 2018

The photos to accompany the video. Here are a handful of shots Sam Allgood and I caught while filming our latest video “Seasons Change”. If you haven’t seen it already, just go ahead and click the link, or scroll down to the post. It’s been really great having Sam in town. He made the move out here from SLC a while back, and this felt like the first time we’ve really hung out since he’s been out here. I can already tell that we’ll be kicking it and trying to make a lot more videos together. Check out some of the videos Sam makes and hit that subscribe button fam. You know what’s good. Okay, that’s enough for now, scroll around and we’ll talk at you later.

FIXED GEAR PORTLAND – SEASONS CHANGE

November 22, 2018

Name 3 things you’re thankful for. Us; Fixies, Friends, Good times. Last Saturday, Sam Allgood and I met up to ride around downtown Portland. We stumbled across a protest in the middle of our ride and rode alongside some one wheel, street bike ninja who demonstrated his karate skills (see video for details). Shout out the homie @DRGNKIDD (Jeff Osborn) for the soundtrack and Sam for tag teaming the filming of this video. Keep your eyes peeled for more videos coming from Sam and I.

PATCHED IN PARTY AT THE CHROME PDX HUB

October 23, 2018

“These go to 11”. Backyard Blam is at it again, this time with a benefit concert for Dirty Needle Embroidery. We kicked things off around 6 o’clock and didn’t wrap things up until well after midnight. With more beer than we knew what to do with and musical performances by Amanda Sundvor, Icy Dave, and a Nirvana cover band called “Bliss”, the vibes were strong. Shout out to everybody who came out to kick it and contribute to the good times. Check out all the photos from this night HERE.

FGFS PORTLAND – 35MM

September 30, 2017

Life is better with grain. Film photos always have such stronger feels and carry such a greater reward for capturing the moment with a single click. It’s been minute since the homies from down south were in town. Still having a hard time calling Portland a city. Feels more like a suburb with a skyline. More trees than buildings over 2 stories tall.

I tried shooting an old roll of color Kodachrome while they were here. Lets just say it didn’t work out as planned. Haha. It basically came out as a bunch of gray images. That roll aside, here are some photos that did turn out. Until next time my dudes. (Riders: Miguel Zendejas, Johnathan Ball, Josh Silva, Ramon Antonio III, Sam Allgood)

SAM ALLGOOD – COASTAL TOUR

August 28, 2016

Sam Allgood is one inspiring human being. He rode from Astoria Oregon to San Francisco California in 16 days with no real schedule, no jacket and only one pair of socks. I set him up with a sweater when he got to fog covered SF and let him crash at my house the first few nights. He shared stories from his journey, showed us some kendama tricks, and made me want to drop everything to join him on the rest of his quest. Safe travels my friend.

TCB RACE – PARKS & WRECK

July 24, 2016

Beers don’t normally grow on trees, but they might as well have during yesterday’s TCB cross race. The flyer said something about bringing a backpack and a handful of sanitizer, which left us with more than a handful of questions. It was a race around a track that was littered with bicycle debris, trash, feathers and warm beers that were hidden throughout the course. Each lap counted as a point as well as each piece of trash collected along the way. At the end of the 30 minute race the points were tallied and the park looked cleaner than ever. Shout out to RJ Rabe & Ramon for hosting this one and keep an ear to the ground for next month’s.
