WHEELIE BOYS – A$AP FERG + RRDBLOCKS NYC 2019

July 27, 2019

YERRRR! We out here in NYC busting wheelies and tearing up the streets with RRDBlocks, Lucas Brunelle & Ed Wonka and a bunch of other homies on our way to the A$AP FERG launch party. FERG teamed up with Redline to create a signature wheelie boy bike, and it’s fire. Plus it’s yellow. Shout out to the Bicycle Film Festival for giving me a reason to fly out to New York. The planets aligned with this one.

BROKEN CLAVICLE CLUB

July 9, 2019

I don’t usually make these types of videos, but with my recent injury / move from Portland, I finally had enough of a reason to shoot something like this. It feels like I’m watching home movies. Perhaps I’ll make more of these for personal / historical reasons. I’m still healing from more than just a broken shoulder but wanted to take a second to give a major shout out to Jaynie, Ernie & Jeff for always helping me keep things positive. You’re the best.

“STRANGERS” A FIXED GEAR FILM FOR CHARI & CO.

June 28, 2019

We are strangers to ourselves. Sometimes when I look back at the videos we’ve made there’s a weird disconnect. Even though we were there every step of the way while making it, it’s still a strange out of body experience to watch yourself. Mike Schmitt really did a number on cutting this one together. After picking up an old JVC VHS camera, Mike transcoded the footage we shot onto a S-VHS tape, then recaptured it and edited this video. It really brings together all the clips considering they came from 3 different cameras.

Here’s a photo collage Mike put together using some of the photos I shot. I really like the process photos on the top right and the integration of video clips into the slides. (Click here to see the post in motion) Shout out to Chari & Co. for lacing it up with the sweet gear (Some of which Mike did the graphics for) and giving us a reason to get out and make something.

MISSION CRIT 6 – SAN FRANCISCO 2019

April 23, 2019

Mission Crit popped off this year in San Francisco and I’m still outta breath from it. Hundreds of people flocked to the streets to endure some seriously heavy winds and a day full of racing. James Grady deserves an award for the hard work he puts into this event year after year. We wouldn’t have these good times if it wasn’t for his dedication to the community and love for the scene. Respect and thank you everyone else who helped out, volunteered, or lifted a finger to make this happen. We appreciate everything you do.

We through more high fives than we could count and screamed “FAAASTER” at just about everyone who raced. That being said, we’re going to let words take a back seat from here and let the photos do the talking. Ride fast, take chances, and have fun. We’ll catch you later.

FIXED GEAR DASH CAM – NYC APRIL 2018

April 5, 2019

NYCBroadway to Williamsburg Bridge. This was filmed days after I got a GoPro / Gimbal setup and was one of the first times playing with it. I haven’t used the chest mount since, but after chopping this together, I think I’m going to have to. The camera height dropped midway, but hey we’re here to play. // 04.24.18

BIKE CHECK – MATT REYES’ MASH STEEL FRAME (SMOKE)

March 28, 2019

This bike has it all. The MASH STEEL FRAME has quickly become my favorite build and is the closest thing I’ve had to owning a trick track setup in a really long time. It parts the sea between all my bikes and is literally the perfect middle ground between being a fast track bike and a freestyle build that can handle it all, but most importantly… it can bar spin. I can already feel a resurgence of people looking for setups that have the clearance to kick flip. The MASH steel frame + a little longer fork can do just that. Word on the street is that MASH just got ahold of a few Volume Forks from different generations if you’re looking to upgrade. ‘ll put together a video bike check that goes into greater detail soon, but for now enjoy these studio photos and parts breakdown.
