I hit this wallride to gap back into the street on my commute home from downtown everyday. Commuter tricks are the best part of riding Fixed Freestyle. I spend more time crushing through traffic and hitting stuff along the way than I do riding spots. Photo Credit : Mike T Schmitt

With daylight savings time in full effect, Devon Lawson and I have been out shooting longer and later. Making better use of the day and adjusting to the change in light at the usual spots. Here’s a couple screen shots I pulled from some recent clips we’ve been filming here in San Francisco.
Anthony Combs took this photo of me on my weathered and aged Specialized PFIX. I’ve been on the same frame for nearly a year now, and have grown so attached to the beaten look that I don’t want to hop on a fresh frame. The custom colorway is an easy differentiator that I feel like I’ve become directly associated with. Who knows maybe I’ll swap out frames in time for Ride & Style, only time will tell.
Zane just dropped this teaser for the 2nd issue of Can’t Fool The Youth. Devon has a full section in this issue, and there’s a huge chunk of clips from our trip to Seattle. I’ve grown to love that Chrome van after all the traveling we’ve done in it. Check out this video and you’ll see what I mean. I can’t wait to watch the full thing, which is going to be premiered at this year’s Red Bull Ride & Style.
There’s nothing better than mobbing around w/ your friends, it’s probably the best part about riding. Hitting obstacles as they come, and crushing shit along the way. Mike and I are constantly exploring Golden Gate Park by linking together different trails. We’re always stumbling upon new spots in locations we thought we knew well. My good friend and roommate Bryan Dempler popped off this photo of us crushing down one of the many off beaten paths.
I recently picked up a pair of the Cadence Raw Sienna Trousers after most of my jeans blew out. It’s hard to find pants that can withstand a lot of saddle time. The double layer of denim on the ass really helps keep these pants alive, and the 3% Lycra makes me feel like i’m not even wearing anything.
Here’s a photo that Devon Lawson took of me as we were cutting through some back alleyways on our way home one night. We ended up pulling over to cop some photos and session this construction barrier for a while. It was almost like it they made it to be riden. Trick – 180 on half cab off.
Here’s a video I chopped together using a bunch of footage from late 2012. I’ve been riding for Specialized for a couple of years now, and they’ve done a ton to help push me into getting where I am today. Big thanks to JeffyD, Mike Schmitt and everyone who helped me film this. Sometimes it’s real difficult getting clips of yourself when you’re always stuck behind the camera. Filmer/Rider dudes, you feel my pain. I’ve been shooting like a mad man since the beginning of the new year, so be on the lookout for more edits coming out the pipeline.
