I grew up next door to Jeff Dempler in Gilroy. There weren’t a lot of street spots to ride where we lived so we spent most of our time riding dirt jumps. Most of our early videos were montage based and this was the first solo Fixed Gear Freestyle video we released of Jeff.
8 years in the making. It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a decade since we filmed this video with Joe Mesiano & Chris Marino at the Wheel Talk Compound. None of this footage was ever released, but we’re really glad to get it out there now. Better late than never I suppose. There’s something incredibly refreshing about seeing actual film burns that weren’t layered in during the editing process. We’ll let you see for yourself, press play & enjoy.
With another solid year behind us, we figured we clean out our closet and release SHREDWELL2 to the public. Filmed over the course of 2011-2012 this 38 minute long, full length motion picture features riders from the Grime Team as well as other influential members of the FGFS community. Stop what you’re doing, press play and enjoy. Happy new year from TURF & Wheel Talk.
This is it folks, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. After nearly a year of anticipation, Alex Blanco’s welcome to Breakbrake17 & Spike Parts video has finally arrived. Blanco is a big dude & can man handle that bike better than most. He’s taken his share of slams, but always seems to walk away unscathed. Shout out to Wheel Talk’s very own Jeff Dempler for filming and editing this hammer of a video.
Today I did some digging though our archives and came across this post that was put together but never published. I figured there’s no time like the present, and that we better get this out there before we enter into the new year. A while back Jeff Dempler made it down to Venice Beach, in Southern California for the 2013 Summer Fix. He spent most of his time behind the camera capturing most of the madness that went down that weekend. Jakob Santos blew everyone away with the huge wallrides he was blasting out of the quarter pipe against the handball court. Elliott Milner destroyed the flat rail, Joe Mckeag clicked some dialed tabletops, and our dude Valentin Racho threw barspins over just about every obstacle there. This is hands down Jeff Dempler’s best work yet. He’s released a few Solo edits over the course of this year, none of which hit harder than this one. He’s been around since the creation of Wheel Talk and was the one who pushed me to ride in the early years. All of the follow shots in this looked butter smooth and gave the video a fast pace feel. It’s been a strong year for us over here at Wheel Talk and we’re already brewing plans of attack for next year. Until then press play and enjoy.
Jeff Dempler recently hooked up with the guys at Kali Protectives down in Morgan Hill, and got some riding in at their new backyard compound. Photographer Phillip Ritti was there to capture some of the action and sent over this sweet shot of Jeff hitting a table top off one of their ladder drops. Their setup reminds me a lot of the “WheelTalk Compound” from back in the day. Expect to see more from the Kali Compound in the near future. Photo Credit : Phil Ritti
