JAOA DANAIKRIT | CHINA BANKS

July 21, 2014

Jaoa Danaikrit - China Banks - San Francisco
The other day Jaoa Danaikrit and I went riding around down town and made a pit stop at one of the most iconic spots in San Francisco. The China Banks are deceptively difficult to ride, have been capped for as long as I can remember, and can be a quick bust if you draw too much attention to yourself. Nobody ever said riding street was easy, and despite the challenge, this is one of the sickest spots to ride.

JAPAN TRIP | WONKA MOUNTAIN

Ed Wonka - Japan - Chrome Industries - Double Peg
Ed Wonka - Japan - Mountain Top - Chrome Industries
It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been a year since we left on our voyage to Japan. Editing the video from this trip got put on back burner in order to finish up Word Is Bond, but is now ready to be released. Expect a new Wheel Talk video coming out sometime next week. Until then, here’s a couple photos I dug up of Ed “Wonka” Laforte doing a double peg at this nearly abandoned amusement park we rode while staying in Tokyo. Check out more photos from that day here.

WHEEL TALK | COMMERCIAL

July 18, 2014

Here’s the Wheel Talk commercial we put together for CFTY3 using clips of everyone on the team. (Jaoa Danaikrit, Matt Reyes, Devon Lawson, Anthony Combs, Jeff Dempler, Valentin Racho) Head over to Chop Em’ Down Films to pick up a copy of Can’t Fool The Youth 3 Here.

ED WONKA | SLIVER OF LIGHT

July 2, 2014

With the summer in full effect, we’ve been making use of the extended daylight and doing a lot of filming after work. Here’s an older photo I found of Ed Wonka doing a smith with only a sliver of light left illuminating the spot. Although this photograph is only a few months old, the loading dock has been completely covered by cement and fenced off. We managed to shoot this image a couple days before they remodeled the exterior of the building and covered up the spot. Photo Credit : Matt Reyes

35MM | COMMUNITY SERVICE

July 1, 2014

With an endless sea of new terrain, we’ve been putting in work uncovering and uncapping spots for the betterment of the community. Here’s a few black & white 35mm photos that just came back from the lab of everybody hanging out and riding in Oakland last weekend. Dew blasted a huge toboggan across this stair set, landing on just the last few steps while MTS filmed from the side. Ed Wonka came through to shred and remind us why tooth hangovers are his specialty. And Devon Lawson and Jaoa Danaikrit shared some ice cream. Check out more below.

MATT REYES | 180 RAIL HOP

June 29, 2014

Yesterday Mike Schmitt & I hopped on the Bart and met up with Andy Sparks to ride some spots in the East Bay. We ventured out further than we usually would to shred some schools that a little bird told us about. As painfully difficult as it was to pedal out to them, it was completely worth it, stacking some solid clips to go home with. Here’s a shot of me throwing a 180 over this handrail towards the end of the day.
