Johnathan Ball came by the house just before the sun went down, so we went out and filmed for an hour. Or however long the sun would let us. With the year coming to a close, I just wanted to take a second to take a step back and honor some of the amazing work that’s come out this year. I compiled a quick top ten of some of the videos that stood out to me and were truly memorable. Really looking forward to seeing what the coming decade has in store. With a short break in the rain, Slam Dunk Ernie and I met up with the boys (Andy Sparks & David Todd) in downtown San Francisco to ride, explore, and shoot this day video. The city always looks its best on a gloomy day and we decided to take full advantage of that. These sessions are always better when Ernie tags along. He’s the real MVP.

I love making videos with Mike Schmitt. He always pushes me to ride harder and has that 20/20 vision behind a camera. We met up in San Francisco and filmed this one day edit on our MASH Steel Frame builds. Shout out to MASH SF for making these bikes as solid as cement.
Keep that wheel up! BLOC BOI FAME always brings the heat when it comes to these monthly ride outs, but this one was above and beyond. Riders from all over California met up for this get together in Los Angeles. Bloc threw an alley cat, a trick comp and served up food for everyone in attendance. It’s really great seeing the community come together like this. Check out more photos below.
Filmed on location here in Los Angeles, I took Tadashi Nakamura on a 3 day tour of the town. During which we filmed this Fixed Gear Freestyle jammer for Chari & Co. who continue to bless us with the fresh gear and positive vibes. Signed, sealed, delivered. For the SF Premiere of the latest Wheel Talk video “NO REST”, we decided to make a janky ramp and wheel it down to The Island. Everybody caught some air, with a few people sending it straight into next week. Big ups for everyone who came out to have some fun, and shout out to Mission Workshop for letting us get rowdy in their space. The longest jump on a fixed gear was somewhere around 16 ft in case anybody was wondering.
This year’s Red Bull Bay Climb was one of the best yet. Everyone partied hard and had a great time heckling the gassed riders coming up the hill. Gearing was key and it was fun to see who chose what when it came to the fixed gear sprints. “Fasterrr” and “keep going” were two of the fan favorites. Between that and the endless ringing of bells, I’m pretty sure that’s all I heard. We had a great time shooting this and love our Fixie Fam in San Francisco. Until next time y’all.
