Here are a bunch of clips I compiled from what we shot during the month of January. Most of it was filmed in San Francisco by Mike Schmitt and I, but there is a pretty heavy San Jose section in the beginning. Real stoked on the progression of the Fixed Freestyle scene in SJ. Each time I go there it looks like there’s a whole new wave of kids coming out to shred. Press play and enjoy.
Here’s a video I chopped together using a bunch of footage from late 2012. I’ve been riding for Specialized for a couple of years now, and they’ve done a ton to help push me into getting where I am today. Big thanks to JeffyD, Mike Schmitt and everyone who helped me film this. Sometimes it’s real difficult getting clips of yourself when you’re always stuck behind the camera. Filmer/Rider dudes, you feel my pain. I’ve been shooting like a mad man since the beginning of the new year, so be on the lookout for more edits coming out the pipeline.
Chrome is putting on a contest to find “the World’s next great street photographer”. Submissions are open til February 4th giving everyone plenty of time to go out and shoot something fresh. With their new line of Niko Camera bags up for grabs competition should be stiff. Head over to Streets of Chrome to find out more.
Here’s some leftover munchies from 2012 for your eyes to feast on. I cut together a stack of riding clips that didn’t quite make the first cut. Most of this footage was shot during the time we spent filming for SHREDWELL2. I have a bunch of shit lined up and waiting to drop, so be on the look out for more coming out this month.
Here’s a bunch of behind the scenes footage from all the trips we’ve taken this year. Plus a bunch of stuff that wasn’t used in edits or Shredwell2. No track, who needs one, the commentary and background music speaks for itself. 6 minutes of pure fixie gold, happy new years everyone.
Here’s an edit that Jeff & I filmed in the hour we spent riding at the local school in our neighborhood. All shot on location in Gilroy California moments before we ate our Thanksgiving dinners. I did a little introduction in the beginning, so I wouldn’t to spend the time writing up a post that nobody is going to read anyways. Sit back and enjoy this dual edit of the current Wheel Talk Team, Jeff and I.
Here’s what I guess you’d call “the official video” to the 2012 AFC UPROAR Comp that went down last weekend. I teamed up w/ SKYLMT‘s very own Colby Elrick to cover the Pro Competition on the final day of the Expo. Shooting off of 3 different cameras, we were able to capture most, but not all of the truly amazing shit people were doing. I’m not sure what else to say, so I’ll just let the video speak for itself.
A couple of weeks ago I ran into Yohei Hayama and Hiro as I was riding home up the wiggle. Yohei came from Japan to SF to bomb hills, and kick it w/ the locals. I’m real glad I met up w/ them when I did and had a chance to cruise around on Yohei’s last day in town. Check out more from his trip HERE
