Word Is Bond

April 20, 2016

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Word Is Bond. In celebration of this milestone we’ve taken the time to uploaded the final section of the video. It’s hard to believe so much time has passed since we first released it back in 2014. Shout out to TURF MOB for bringing this all together and to everyone who has ever ridden FGFS. The community is what will always make this scene great. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

Commander in Chief at TURF Bikes, Mike Schmitt brought the heat in his Word Is Bond section and came through with some of the heaviest grind combos in the video. Mike has always been a huge part of the filming process and is the Starsky to my Hutch, Rocky to my Bullwinkle, or the Lilo to my Stitch if you will. It’s been tough getting by without him, but I’m on the road to recovery and am on the hunt for a new filming counterpart. I’m constantly blown away by the tricks he’s able to put together and the spots he manages to find. Which is why this is easily one of my favorite parts in the full length. Press that button and enjoy.

In between filming for his part in the second issue of Can’t Fool The Youth, Devon Lawson dedicated some time to shoot this quick section for the TURF Bikes full length video entitled “Word Is Bond“. Devon has always been known for his precision barspins, steady pedals, and shear strength behind the bike. If you live under a rock and still haven’t seen the entire video front to back then I suggest you read more below and discover what you’ve been missing.

Seitaro Iki shot this photo of Ed Wonka muscling out a tooth hangover while we wrapped up filming for the new Turf Bikes video. If you’ve seen Word Is Bond, then I’m sure you’ll recognize this shot from the last clip in his section. Ed hangovers rails that few would even attempt, and has no problems blasting through even the deadliest of kinks. Which is why I consider tooths to be Ed’s signature move. Read more below to see the screen shot from Mike’s angle. Photo Credit : Seitaro Iki
