The day before Michael Penrose drove back to his native land of Long Beach, I pulled his Bombtrack Dash out front of our house here in San Francisco and shot a couple quick photos of it. He’s made a few minor changes to his FGFS build since these photos were taken, and sent over THIS recent shot of his bike. Check out other photos below, along w/ a full list of parts.
I managed to grab these photos while we were roaming around the city filming for Ramon Antonio’s Welcome to the TURF Mob video. I still can’t believe that he was able to jump up that loading dock as many times as he did. I took on look at it, and knew I didn’t have hops like that. If you haven’t seen his section yet you can check it out HERE or on the TURF website. It’s riddled full of huge double pegs, toboggans, and suicide no handers. Be on the look out for more coming from Ramon now that we ride w/ him nearly everyday of the week. Head over to the THIETH Webstore for more great shirts like this one w/ the Nike swoosh.
I’m pretty sure I shot more photos on 35mm film than I did on my digital camera this year and have a box full of prints to show for it. If you ever come by the house, ask me about it and I’ll show you. Until then check out some of these shots of Mike Schmitt on our morning commutes, lunch breaks from work and weekend sessions around the city. I’m really stoked on how a couple of these double exposures turned out and am finally starting to figure out the formula. Check out more 35mm photos HERE.
Last Sunday was like most Sundays. Dave Beard came by, we picked up some pizza and cruised around Alameda in search of spots. Dave has a knack for shooting behind the scenes photos while we’re out filming. Consider this the first installment of a new series we’re starting; Sundaze with the Turf Mob.
