Oakley, Greg Lemond & Mash SF recently teamed up to host a ride here in San Francisco led by LeMonster himself. I borrowed MTS’s pocket camera and captured a bunch of the action as we crossed over the Golden Gate Bridge, looped around the headlands and mobbed back to the Mash store for beers. It was rad seeing so many familiar faces in the pack, some of which I haven’t ridden with in years. It’s rides like this that help bring the community together. Or in my case introduce me to an entirely new community of dudes living right at my doorstep. Big thanks for everyone who helped make this happen. #liveyours Check out more photos below, or view the rest of the photos from this day HERE.
Nothing brings a family together like the Super Bowl, and we couldn’t agree more. For this year’s big game, we hit the streets of San Francisco for a day filled of false starts, interceptions, city poop, field goals and the occasional trick or two. I woke up Sunday morning, made a couple calls and met up with the dudes downtown where we rode from the late afternoon until the sunset. This is what you can find us doing on any given weekend. On thursday night we flocked to SOMA Skatepark like a pack of carnivorous seagulls and squeezed in a quick session after work. Attendance at the park is relatively mellow on a weekday and once the sun sets they turn on the lights making the place even brighter than it is during the day. Dee.Rock is a regular fixture here in the streets of San Francisco and always hangs out at the park to shoot photos of the locals shredding. I hit him up on instagram and he graciously sent me a bunch of shots from this session, check out more below. Photo Credit – Derek Chamberlain (Dee.Rock)
With another solid year behind us, we figured we clean out our closet and release SHREDWELL2 to the public. Filmed over the course of 2011-2012 this 38 minute long, full length motion picture features riders from the Grime Team as well as other influential members of the FGFS community. Stop what you’re doing, press play and enjoy. Happy new year from TURF & Wheel Talk.

Every time I get a roll of film developed it’s like a Christmas present to myself, and this one was no different. I nearly forgot that I brought my trusted 35mm camera along with us when the TURF Mob went camping along the coast. We piled into the back of Dave Beard‘s car and headed to the beach where we spent the day fishing, drinking, and hanging out by the fire. We had to bring Egg The Dog along with us considering the fact that he loves the sand and ocean more than anybody I know. Dew & Jaoa spent a lot of time fishing while they were here and I don’t think they managed to catch a damn thing besides this crab scurrying on the rocks. Check out more photos below.
As we gear up for the new year, we figured we’d spread a little holiday cheer and release the latest Wheel Talk production we’ve been working on. Devon Lawson & I (Matt Reyes) have been in cahoots with the dudes from Premier Fits for a while now and are just now unveiling our welcome to the team video. Major thanks to PF for lacing us up some sweet headwear and shout out to Anthony Combs for coming through with a quick cameo on the opening clip. Consider this an early Christmas present from us to you, press play and enjoy. Read more below to check out some screen shots and watch the video on youtube.

With the new year right around the corner I took the time today to go through and post some photos from when Jaoa Danaikrit was staying with us in the Bay Area earlier this year. My personal favorite photo from this set is the shot of Jaoa standing next to my Dad (Wheel Talk Team Manager) after a long day at the horse races in Berkley. There’s nothing like betting on ponies, drinking dollar beers, and eating hot dogs while spending quality time with the family. The shot of everybody posted up next to the Rack Solid van was from the day we filmed the “Alameda Send Off” video of the Thai dudes last day in town.
