As we gear up for the new year, we figured we’d spread a little holiday cheer and release the latest Wheel Talk production we’ve been working on. Devon Lawson & I (Matt Reyes) have been in cahoots with the dudes from Premier Fits for a while now and are just now unveiling our welcome to the team video. Major thanks to PF for lacing us up some sweet headwear and shout out to Anthony Combs for coming through with a quick cameo on the opening clip. Consider this an early Christmas present from us to you, press play and enjoy. Read more below to check out some screen shots and watch the video on youtube.
If you don’t know, or haven’t heard, Harness The Gnarness 2014 Hosted by Ed “Wonka” Laforte is this Sunday in Oakland (11.16.14). We’re meeting up at Madison Park (Lake Merritt Bart) and are riding spot to spot giving out prizes at every stop along the way. If you live local be sure to mark your calendar and cancel any hot date you may have, because this is one event you won’t want to miss.

This is it folks, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. After nearly a year of anticipation, Alex Blanco’s welcome to Breakbrake17 & Spike Parts video has finally arrived. Blanco is a big dude & can man handle that bike better than most. He’s taken his share of slams, but always seems to walk away unscathed. Shout out to Wheel Talk’s very own Jeff Dempler for filming and editing this hammer of a video.
Breezy Excursion and iMiNUSD came out with this collaboration T-shirt just in time for Ride + Style this year. I really dig the way the black and white tie dye came out. Who knew Jeff Dempler was such a model. Head over to ID, or pick one up online HERE.
Here’s an old photo of Alex Blanco that I took back when we filmed the “iMiNUSD Rides SF 2012” video. Jeff Dempler is in the foreground filming Blanco throwing a bar over the ledge and into the bank below. I saw a teaser for a Spike edit he’s been working on, can’t wait to see the finished part.
Here’s a couple photos that I shot of Mike T Schmitt building up his bike in iMiNUSD a while back. I pretty sure this was the day that he got his bike back from Puerto Rico. Anyways the Ghost Frame is now on sale for only $329, which is a damn good deal considering what the price of frames used to be. Head into IMD to pick one up or order one online at Grime Bikes.
Here’s a photo of Jeff Dempler back when he first got on Destroy Bikes. Everytime we roll to his house, we hit this oversized curb cut along the way. Commuter tricks are the best part of riding Fixed Freestyle. Busting moves on the go helps keep things interesting, especially if you find yourself riding the same routes everyday.
This Saturday we’re premiering Shredwell2 in San Jose at iMiNUSD. We’re going to have a street session before hand while Ed Wonka is in town. We plan to meet up at CCP around 3pm and then roll around from spot to spot before we head to IMD for the screening around 7pm. Bring your bike, your buds, and we’ll see you there.
