PRICKLY PEAR JAM VIDEO

May 30, 2016

This morning Mike Schmitt released the official recap of the Prickly Pear Jam that happened in Arizona a couple weeks ago. This 10 minute video is packed full of good times, vicious heat, and collective mix of familiar faces. My favorite part of the video and possibly the funniest part of the day was when Mike pulled a 180 crook in flip flops for a quick 20 bucks. At which point everyone came together and scrounged up enough to pay the debt. Shout out to Zane Meyer for all the arial coverage, and to Kai Yao for shooting secondary angles. Press play to see first hand why this was one of the best FGFS events that has happened in a really long time.

Despite all the shit there is to do in Las Vegas, I had the best time hanging out and riding with these dudes one afternoon. I didn’t come equipped with a bike of my own, so Evan Service saved the day by letting me shred on his. After figuring out rides, we hopped in a car and traveled off the strip to this lonesome manual pad where we rode until the sun went down. It was impressive to see first hand all of the skid tricks Matt Spencer has up his sleeve, Elliott Milner’s nose manual control & Jackson Bradshaw’s creative genius. I rarely get to ride with these guys so it’s always a pleasure when I do. Ian Walker perhaps being the only exception to this because he lived in the Bay Area up until just recently. That being said, I’m looking forward to meeting up and riding with them in AZ sometime in the near future. Check out more photos below

TURF BIKES – TUESDAYS 03

August 5, 2015

I slacked on posting this when it came out, but it’s better late than never. Especially when this is quite possibly the best TURF Tuesday yet. Mike Schmitt, Ian Walker, Shane Hunt and I met up at Potrero Skatepark after work to hang out and ride. We stacked some clips, got hassled by a couple kooks and hit a few local spots around the neighborhood before calling it a night. Check out some of the other TURF Tuesday videos HERE and keep your eyes out for number four coming out later this month.

TURF – DRAGON PARK 2015

June 4, 2015

A couple weeks ago Mike Schmitt, Ramon Antonio, Andy Sparks, Ian Walker and I met up in Oakland for a chill session at Dragon Park. We kicked it there for most of the day riding bikes & catching sunburns before venturing off into other parts of the neighborhood. Head over to the TURF Website for more.

OAKLAND FAMILY PORTRAIT

May 29, 2015

FGFS_WheelTalk_OaklandCA_Squad2015A couple weeks ago we all met up in Oakland to hang out and cruise around the East Bay. We spent most of the day stacking clips at Dragon Park, before we all had our fill and ventured elsewhere in search of a change of scenery. In that search, I stopped the caravan and pulled everybody aside to take this photo. So much of our efforts are spent filming that we often times forget to shoot any photos. I figured we might as well get one, and you’re looking at it. Left to Right – Matt Reyes, Ramon Antonio III, Ian Walker, Mike Schmitt, Andy Sparks

In memory of Michael Penrose’s now not so recent trip to SF, I decided scan through some of the photos we took and see if there were any shots time forgot. There were a few gems buried deep in the archives of Michael and Ian Walker keeping it mellow as we rode along The Bay one saturday afternoon. Michael stacked a bunch of clips for the Wheel Talk full length we’ve been working on and I’m real stoked he made the trip out here. Check out more photos from his stay below.

IAN WALKER – SF EMBARCADERO

Ian Walker - SF 2015 - FGFS - Guard rail Hop
Last weekend Ian Walker came out to ride around the city with us and stack clips for an upcoming film project we’ve been working on. Ian is one of the few dudes remained true to his roots and still rides 700c/29″ wheels. It’s riders like Ian & JBall that help prove the fact that FGFS will always consist of multiple wheel sizes.
