PRICKLY PEAR JAM – DAY 1

Day One and we’re already sun burnt. Everyone is beginning to trickle in for the Prickly Pear Jam Saturday. It’s been 100+ degrees each day we’ve been here and I’m already in the market for an endless amount of sun screen, a bigger hat, and a sweat towel. We’ve wasted no time in getting broken off and feeling like death at the end of the day. INTERBIKE 2015 – DAY SESSION

Despite all the shit there is to do in Las Vegas, I had the best time hanging out and riding with these dudes one afternoon. I didn’t come equipped with a bike of my own, so Evan Service saved the day by letting me shred on his. After figuring out rides, we hopped in a car and traveled off the strip to this lonesome manual pad where we rode until the sun went down. It was impressive to see first hand all of the skid tricks Matt Spencer has up his sleeve, Elliott Milner’s nose manual control & Jackson Bradshaw’s creative genius. I rarely get to ride with these guys so it’s always a pleasure when I do. Ian Walker perhaps being the only exception to this because he lived in the Bay Area up until just recently. That being said, I’m looking forward to meeting up and riding with them in AZ sometime in the near future. Check out more photos below

INTERBIKE – BOMBTRACK DASH

The Bombtrack booth at Interbike quickly became the central meeting place for most of us and was where we spent most of our time at the convention. Partially because we had a place to put shit down, but mainly because we all seemed to gravitate to the 2016 Dash. I had a chance to pull it down from the display and shoot some quick photos before we let everyone else drool over it. They made some subtle changes to this year’s model including a lower stand over height, shorter dropouts, and more clearance for hub guards on the fork. I’m looking forward to seeing it on the streets and in videos as we roll into the coming year. The future looks bright.

MINKYU SIM IN AMERICA 2014

I came across these photos of Minkyu Sim while transferring footage from Dew & Jaoa’s memory card. Minkyu came out to the Bay Area and stayed with us while he was in town for Ride N Style this year. He was the only dude to come out for the event from Korea and just recently has been in basic training for mandatory military service. RIDE + STYLE 2014 | VIDEO

With more than 30 riders from all over the world competing in the freestyle event, things were bound to get wild as everybody geared up for the 2014 Red Bull Ride & Style. Each year they mix up the course and this year they really out did themselves creating one of the best flowing layouts to date. Everyone brought their A-game that day as they stepped up to the plate to empty out their bag of tricks. Elliott Milner brought was linking together lines on the park like he’s ridden it his whole life. Jakob Santos hucked something huge off just about every object there. Joe Mckeag showed everyone what it looks like to ride transition, and Johnathan Ball wasn’t letting anything go untouched. There’s too much that went down for me to even begin to discuss, so I’m just going to have to let the video speak for itself. Read more below to see the final results. SUMMER FIX 2013

Today I did some digging though our archives and came across this post that was put together but never published. I figured there’s no time like the present, and that we better get this out there before we enter into the new year. A while back Jeff Dempler made it down to Venice Beach, in Southern California for the 2013 Summer Fix. He spent most of his time behind the camera capturing most of the madness that went down that weekend. Jakob Santos blew everyone away with the huge wallrides he was blasting out of the quarter pipe against the handball court. Elliott Milner destroyed the flat rail, Joe Mckeag clicked some dialed tabletops, and our dude Valentin Racho threw barspins over just about every obstacle there. RIDE + STYLE 2013 | ELLIOTT

Elliott Milner really stepped it up at this year’s Red Bull Ride + Style hitting clean lines and busting tricks on obstacles that not many people would touch. His 360 going backwards up the wave was too slick (check below). The video Wolfdrawn recently put out of him is one of the sickest fixed freestyle parts to date. He finished 3rd this year, and is definitely someone to keep your eye on.
