FRIENDS | SCREEN SHOTS

April 19, 2014

With only hours left on the clock until we release “Word Is Bond”, we decided to give you a final taste of what’s to come. Here’s a bunch of screen shots from the Friends Section in the video. Showcasing riders from all over the world, this collaborative effort is something that you won’t want to miss. Check out more screen grabs below.

DEW SIPPAWIT | FEDERAL BANKS

March 16, 2014

Either Dew Sippawit has a twin or I need glasses. I took this photo of him while we filmed for his SKYLMT Part after last year’s Red Bull Ride & Style. With this year’s R&S rounding the corner, I’ve grown increasingly more anxious to see everyone, and need to start getting a head count for who will be staying at our pad. The city can haterblock the Federal banks as much as they’d like, at the end of the day there’s nothing that’ll stop us from riding this gem of a spot. Challenge accepted. On a less relevant note, I think I see a Zane beast lurking in the brush.

DEW SIPPAWIT | NY CHINA TOWN

August 17, 2013

Riding street in New York with Dew Sippawit gave me a whole new outlook on how Fixed Freestyle should be filmed. I’ve been focusing on capturing the commuter side of riding fixed, by shooting more follow lines through the city of on the curb off the curb type tricks. Dew is easily one of the most talented riders out there, and never ceases to amaze me with how dialed he is on a bike. Here’s a photograph of him posted up next to his custom built SKYLMT frame in New York’s China Town.

DEW SIPPAWIT | LOOK BACK

August 12, 2013

Dew Sippawit started doing turndowns on Fixed the day before we left for New York. So when we went to McCarren Skatepark in Williamsburg to warm up I had him pull a couple look backs for the camera. I’ll slowly be posting up more photos from our trip to NY over the next couple months, so be on the lookout for those.

DEW SIPPAWIT | WALLENBERG

August 11, 2013

Ed Wonka, Mike Schmitt and I about to go ride Wallenberg right now, so I figured I’d post this photo of Dew Sippawit clicking a table top before we left. Wallenberg is a great spot to learn new tricks, and is the closest thing we have to a neighborhood skatepark. It’s unfortunate that we can only shred there on the weekends when all the kids are out of class.

DEW SIPPAWIT | BIRDS EYE VIEW

August 10, 2013

Here’s a photo from when Dew Sippawit was staying at my pad here in SF. When it comes to filming we’re always trying to find unique ways to get the shot. Some of my favorite clips are shot from over head. It creates a forced perspective and simplifies the background. Think out of the box and try a couple of different spots to film from before committing to one and pressing record.

DEW SIPPAWIT | TURNDOWN

June 19, 2013

The day before we left to New York, I caught this shot of Dew Sippawit clicking one of the first turndowns he’s ever done on a fixed gear. I’m sure the lower seat tube on his new SKYLMT frame has something to do w/ it. I’m stoked to have Wallenburg up the street from my pad, is a great place to practice new tricks. Especially considering it’s one of the few spots where we don’t have to deal w/ security.

DEW SIPPAWIT | TABLETOP

June 7, 2013

Dew Sippawit was clicking table tops while we were all riding around and warming up at the first spot of the day. He seemed surprised when I asked him to do it again so I could take a photo. There aren’t many people that are able to table top, let alone have them as dialed as he does. They’re definitely one of those tricks that is easier to do off a transition, which is why it’s always rad to see someone do them on street.
