Jake Lanich and Daniel Something came to LA last month and for the FIXIE GOON Ride Out. They stayed at my house for a few days and the day before the Goon ride we went out and filmed this in Beverly Hills. Later that night I lined up the footage and recorded us commentating over it. Something a little different, have fun, be good and we’ll see you next time.
It’s 2020 and the first FIXIE GOONS Ride Out was a hot one. Even the LAPD came to check out the good times. We had helicopters over head, squad cars behind us and the entire neighborhood wondering what was going on. Oh, don’t mind us, we’re just out here riding bikes and having fun. This is a small gathering for us, and more are always welcome so feel free to stop by LA and ride with us anytime. We outside!
Jake 100 came to LA and brought the crew along with him. Whenever somebody comes to town to ride bikes I always love to play tour guide. I’m still getting used to living in LA so it was fun getting to explore some new things with some outta towners. I met up with them in front of their hotel in DTLA and we set off on another whirlwind adventure. I took them to some of my favorite spots, mainly the banks along the river and the weird entrance underneath one of the bridges. After that we rolled around for a bit and they took me to the top of a parking garage they discovered the night before. A week after we filmed this I met back up with them in San Francisco where we continued the good times. Keep your eyes peeled for more media coming from that trip, and until then enjoy this video.

Robert Gaines, better known as @eightyxproof on the internet made his way from Australia all the way to San Francisco to ride bikes and eat Serrano’s Pizza w/ us. We were happy to show him around the city, soak in his positive energy and Australian accent. Robert rips and I can’t wait for him to come back to Sf so we can relive the good times all over again. Press play and enjoy.
DASH 4 THE CASH is one of the best races of the year. It’s a straight shot, no bars held, race from the top of Twin Peaks to The Island at the Embarcadero. Knowledge of the city means nothing in a sprint like this. Only your bravery and ability to read / dodge traffic. Think of Frogger, but on track bikes for the entire length of Market. Anyways, Robert Gaines & I were in town to join in and be a part of the festivities.

Shout out to MASH’s very own Mike Martin & Jake Ricker for filming the event. They kicked over the footage for me to chop together into this little video jammer for y’all. Jack washed out at the top of the hill but still managed to take home the Fixie gold medal. The rest of us barely made it down the hill and across Market in one piece. I love that the top of Twin Peaks has turned into a skate haven and is grilled with graffiti. RIP Pablo. Plant seeds everywhere you go and we’ll see you at this year’s DASH 4 THE CASH.

It’s the beginning of the year and Mike Schmitt & I are back at it again. This time we took things to the southern part of San Francisco where we made a lap around what used to be Candlestick Stadium. On our way back into town I stopped to get a clip on this little loading dock ramp and ran over an oversized staple. We looked up the nearest bike shop which was miles down the road because there aren’t many businesses in that part of Hunter’s Point. After a quick tube change we were back up and moving. We grabbed a couple road sodas and headed in search of a place to enjoy them. Mike filmed this fish n chips to forward wheelie combo I’ve been working on. Still gotta come up with a name for it, I’ll let you know when we do, but until then press play and enjoy. MASH STEEL FRAME.
WHEELIE WEDNESDAY. Who’s going to the next Fixie Goons ride out on Sunday? It’s going to be the first one of the year and it’s going to be a good one. Speaking of firsts, here’s a recap of the first goon ride I ever went to with @slamdunkernie Shout out to @BlocBoiTV for putting this event on month after month and year after year. It’s because of him that we’re able to have this fun.
Footage from my trip to San Francisco in May. All the usual Suspects came out the woodwork to hangout and ride. Jake Lanich rides a minute long wheelie, Devon Lawson rides his new MASH build for the first time, & I bought a piñata for the MASH Cino de Mayo swap meet. Malls are a thing of the past, but the good vibes live on. Until next time.
